Regular dental visits are crucial to maintaining your overall oral health, and we are happy to welcome you into our family. - #### Log into our patient portal After you have contacted us to book your first appointment, you should receive an email with a link to log into your patient portal. This is where you can fill out all of the necessary medical forms and office policy documents. - #### Your initial exam As a new patient, the first step to establishing yourself with our practice is your first visit. We are here to build a relationship with you. Knowing you, paired with gathering records, ensures you have the best care possible. Your initial exam will consist of a full series of radiographs and an oral cancer screening taken by your dental assistant, a gum tissue and bone health assessment taken by your dental hygienist, and a full exam and review of x-rays  by Dr. Charpentier. This will allow us to know exactly where you are currently with your oral health, and help us figure out your goals for the future! This initial exam will take about 90 minutes and is crucial for your dental team to be able to detect any gum disease or cavities.  A cleaning may be completed after the doctor  ensures it is the appropriate treatment for your specific oral health. There are certain conditions that determine if a cleaning is not the first best course of treatment. - #### What's next? After your appointment with our clinical team, our treatment coordinator will discuss your dental treatment with you privately and go over any questions you may have. For each recommended service, you’ll receive a breakdown of estimated cost and insurance coverage. If you do not have dental insurance, our in-office discounted dental plans are available for immediate coverage with no maximums or deductibles in the way!
